Jeffrey Ross Lifschultz, is an American comedian, writer, director and actor. He is also known as "Roastmaster General" because of his derogatory comedy and numerous appearances at celebrity receptions hosted by the New York Friars Club and in the TV series Comedy Central Roast. In 2009, the Chicago Tribune called Ross "Don Rickles of the New Millennium." The 2006 documentary Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie, won the award for Best Picture at the Comedia Film Festival held at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
