Deshabandu Ranasinghe Hettiarachchilage Ignatius Anthony Silva, commonly known as Tony Ranasinghe, is an award-winning Sri Lankan film, theater and television award-winning actor. He was dubbed the lover of the '70s in the film industry of Sri Lanka thanks to many famous films in which he starred. He is mostly limited to an innocent, flashy and emotional lead. According to critics, he was the last crowned king of Sri Lankan cinema to die after Gamini Fonseka and Joe Abeywickrama.
